Below the Lights is a landmark redevelopment project that transformed the space beneath London’s iconic Piccadilly Lights into a vibrant, multi-modal cultural venue. Once a disused retail unit, it has become an immersive destination for brand activations, live events, pop-up retail, and digital exhibitions.
Designed for versatility and spectacle, the venue has hosted high-profile album launches, showcase events, and product reveals—all framed by an “always-on” digital environment that connects street-level audiences to global viewers. Every square metre has been sculpted for flexibility. Three core configurations—Album Launch, Event Showcase, and Product Launch—enabled seamless shifts between intimate experiences and large-scale activations.
With LED screens wrapped around its interior and façade, the venue operates as a live broadcast platform. Events are streamed, captured, and shared globally, leveraging its prime location for digital amplification.
Built to meet Landsec’s sustainability goals, the venue featured efficient material reuse, zero-waste activation strategies, and exposed services that celebrated the technology powering the experience.
